If you’re a bass player that wants a crazy powerful sound, then you’ve got to take these Heavy strings for a spin. These are perfect for players that like lots of low end and want to create a strong sonic foundation for the rest of the band to build upon. Believe me, there’s nothing worse than a band with a weak bass. I’ve seen it far too many times and I don’t want that to be you.
The tapers on our bass strings are halfwound to better enable the string to wind around the tuning peg and hold tune once it’s there. The process is very similar to how “silked” end strings are made, but we leave off the silk.
Unless otherwise noted, our bass strings have a 38″ winding length, ideal for both 34″ and 35″ scale basses.
